As this picture will attest, this was not a small task. This 156,000 lb treater building was moved. Given a rural location, gravel roads, sharp turns and high load escorts this haul required a great deal of skill and profession-alism on the part of our team. Because of the size of the building, two Canada Crane heavy lift A/T cranes had to be utilized to load and unload the structure.

Several 750-1000 bbl tanks were moved utilizing our state of the art tank cradle system. The scope of the
project was for our team to take old tanks away from the various locations and move new tanks in as part of an emulsion facility upgrade project.

Our tank cradle uses a hydraulic arm mechanism that removes the requirement for our workers to have to climb the tank to hook up lifting rigging. As such, we are able to not only remove the risk associated with putting one of our team in a potentially dangerous position,
but also increase the efficiency of our moves. As these moves took part in a particularly hilly region, the
advantages of the cradle were immeasurable.

Often, our team will find themselves in a situation where a large object needs to be manoevered into a small space within an existing facility. This compressor move was a good example of that, we were required to move a 18’ by 30’ by 80,000 lbs compressor into such a facility and set with cranes.
